Under the philosophy of taking from society and giving back to society, Dr. Wang, the leader of Total Swiss, actively sponsors promising athletes from various fields in the sports industry. Through long-term cultivation and support, these sponsorships have continuously helped athletes achieve outstanding results in various competitions, perfectly exemplifying Total Swiss's unique business philosophy.

On November 3, 2023, in the afternoon, gold medalist karateka Gu Xiao-Shuang and silver medalist Cui Cui-Ping from the Hangzhou Asian Games, along with Asian Roller Skating Championships gold medalists in the men's and women's categories, Chen Yi-Fan and Wu Ruo-Xuan, visited Dr. Wang at the Total Swiss Taipei office on the seventh floor. They expressed their gratitude to Dr. Wang for his long-standing support and shared their honor and joy of winning with him.

In the 2023 Hangzhou Asian Games, four Taipei City Karate team athletes sponsored by Total Swiss represented the Chinese team. Among them, Cui Cui-Ping, who had faced the severe challenge of a ruptured Achilles tendon in her left leg, displayed her determination and secured a silver medal. On the other hand, Gu Xiao-Shuang, a young indigenous female warrior, achieved a miraculous comeback victory in the finals, turning the tide from a five-point deficit to win the gold medal. Another representative from the Chinese team, Wu Jun-Wei, faced the world's top-ranked Jordanian opponent in the semi-finals and, although he didn't win, performed his best in their five encounters.

Your performance is even more remarkable than a decade of hard study.

At two o'clock in the afternoon, Asian Games karate athletes and students from Taipei City University Karate team, led by Professor Xie Fuxiu and Coach Ning Yulin, visited Dr. Wang.

Dr. Wang encouraged the Asian Games athletes, saying, "Winning gold and silver medals at the Asian Games is not easy. Karate may not be the most popular sport, but standing out in the karate arena requires overcoming numerous challenges. I'm delighted to see your journey filled with hard work and determination, bringing gold and silver medals back to our country. By coincidence, with the help of Director Xufeng, we started supporting Taipei City University's karate team through Cui Cui-Ping. Year by year, generation by generation, we continue to provide support. As the saying goes, 'A decade of hard study,' but what you've achieved along this journey is even more remarkable."

Overcoming injuries to achieve success

Hangzhou Asian Games karate silver medalist Cui Cui-Ping expressed her gratitude to Dr. Wang and Total Swiss for supporting her during her time at Taipei City University. With their support, she was able to focus on her studies and training without financial worries. She also had opportunities to compete internationally and gain valuable experience, ultimately achieving her best results in the Asian Games competition.

Regarding her recovery after a severe Achilles tendon rupture in December 2019, Cui Cui-Ping mentioned that it was challenging, but she gradually improved after winning bronze medals in three open competitions in Indonesia, Turkey, and Morocco last year. While she didn't win the gold medal in the Hangzhou Asian Games, her strong determination was evident in the championship match, where she made a remarkable comeback from a five-point deficit but narrowly missed the gold.

Keeping a cool head for a miraculous comeback

Hangzhou Asian Games karate gold medalist Gu Xiao-Shuang thanked Dr. Wang and said, "I would like to express my gratitude to Dr. Wang for his full support during my four years in university and for supporting our karate team. This support covered nutrition, training expenses, overseas competition costs, and even living expenses, ensuring that we received better training and gained more experience to perform well on the field."

Hangzhou Asian Games marked Gu Xiao-Shuang's second gold medal in two Asian Games competitions, matching the record set by Wen Ziyun. Many people were curious about her miraculous comeback in Hangzhou, wondering how she achieved it. In a later interview, Gu Xiao-Shuang mentioned that she had faced her Kazakh opponent several times before the Asian Games, becoming familiar with each other's strengths and possible tactics.

When she was five points behind, Gu Xiao-Shuang told herself, "I'm playing too conservatively; I need to be more daring."

Her calm mindset and bold decisions on the field allowed her to seize the opportunity and execute a miraculous "unseen kick," equalizing the score and ultimately winning based on technical and score assessments. This secured her second Asian Games gold medal.

In addition to Cui Cui-Ping and Gu Xiao-Shuang, Wu Jun-Wei, who finished fourth in the Hangzhou Asian Games, also joined the courtesy visit.

Wu Jun-Wei won a bronze medal for Taiwan in the 2018 Jakarta Asian Games and represented the country again in Hangzhou. Although he faced the world's top-ranked Jordanian player in the semifinals and finished fourth, this match was one of his best performances in his five encounters with the Jordanian player.

Asian Roller Skating Champions in Men's and Women's Categories

At three o'clock in the afternoon, Asian Roller Skating Championships gold medalists in the men's and women's categories, Chen Yi-Fan and Wu Ruo-Xuan, visited Dr. Wang to present their gold medals and express their gratitude.

Dr. Wang said, "We have been supporting Yi-Fan for quite some time now, and his performance has been consistently improving. Initially, I was hesitant to support him because he had already won world championships. However, Xufeng told me that supporting Yi-Fan was not about adding to his achievements but helping him with his immune system issues. At that time, he was training hard while taking medication. After a few years of sponsorship, he no longer needs medication, and he has also won several more world championships."

Regarding Wu Ruo-Xuan, Dr. Wang mentioned that she was introduced by Yi-Fan and Xufeng. He was impressed by her impressive resume, including her involvement in movies and television. This time, she became the recipient of our sponsorship and won the gold medal at the Asian Championships.

Later, both Chen Yi-Fan and Wu Ruo-Xuan were interviewed by the media, where they shared their gratitude to Dr. Wang and Total Swiss and discussed their future plans.

Cancellation of the Asian Games event

Forty days before the start of the Asian Games, the Asian Olympic Committee announced the cancellation of the individual men's artistic roller skating event. Chen Yi-Fan mentioned in the interview that he was initially shocked by the decision, but he had to quickly adapt and digest it because he needed to adjust his mindset for the National Games and the Asian Championships. When asked about the reasons for the event's cancellation, Chen Yi-Fan believed it was related to factors such as the number of participants, insufficient participating countries, and the host country's athletes' level.

Furthermore, Chen Yi-Fan discussed his old ailment, ankylosing spondylitis. He admitted that during the most severe periods, he would wake up in pain in the middle of the night, forcing him to sleep on the couch. Even during training, he would experience pain, limiting his range of motion. He initially controlled the condition with medication, but after receiving Total Swiss sponsorship, his condition has improved significantly in recent years.

Chen Yi-Fan shared that he began learning artistic roller skating after joining a school club, where the coach specialized in artistic skating. He displayed better skills than kids his age at the time, which led him to start training. He also mentioned his future goals, which include competing in the World Championships next year and the World Games in 2025. The latter is the most significant event in this field and is his current target. To participate, he needs to be ranked in the top eight globally, allowing him to attend the grand event in Chengdu.

Quick recovery from my fracture

Wu Ruo-Xuan broke her elbow twice in 2018, once from falling and the second time when a friend touched her hand, unknowingly causing her to re-fracture her already healed injury. She shared that after her first fracture, she believed she had recovered, and on the first day of rehabilitation, her friend touched her hand, leading to three consecutive cracking sounds and another fracture. Despite the setbacks, she appreciated the support she received from Total Swiss's "Triple Crown" products. Wu Ruo-Xuan said, "When I was introduced to Total Swiss Triple Crown, I found it delicious. When I went back to the doctor, he praised my remarkably quick recovery. So, I became even more fond of Total Swiss Triple Crown, and Total Swiss has been with me for several years now."

Wu Ruo-Xuan was a child star, and she is currently a freshman studying fashion design. However, her passion for roller skating remains unchanged. This year marks her last participation in the youth category events, and she won the gold medal in the Asian Roller Skating Championships for the youth women's category. When asked if she was surprised by her victory, Wu Ruo-Xuan said that she knew she had been working hard for a long time, and her performance on the field reflected her efforts.

The opportunity to start roller skating came when she joined a school club in elementary school and received guidance from a coach. Many people might have been hesitant to return to the sport after an injury due to fear and trauma. However, Wu Ruo-Xuan admitted that she loved roller skating too much to stay away. She even went to the skating rink while wearing a cast.
